I'm off to a land with no internet

I'm packing my last bag today.....and then it's off to college I go!

And this is how my hometown sees me off

In SHAMBLES!!!

lol jk :p

It's actually not that bad over here. Aside from a few trees blown over

Everything is peachy :)

I'm lucky that where I live there was only mild (about two to three feet of water) flooding. It cleared pretty quickly and cars were allowed to drive on the road by 1-ish. Though there was a TON of water flooding our living room, and under the front door this morning, which we had to soak up with towels. Some small stores were pumping out their basements FULL of water all morning.

Some places like Coney Island and Long Island; pretty much all of the red marked zones weren't so lucky.

I think Coney Island ended up about five to seven feet under water at one point....don't quote me on that, but what I saw on the news was pretty bad. Some of the subway lines were flooded as well so it was actually a good idea to close them down.

The bottom line is NYC was pretty much shut down for a day. My beloved French Bakery was closed ;A;
There was no public transportation and I was stuck in the house ALL DAY.

Well not all day... I did go exploring a bit with my siblings after the storm.

No transportation meant we could only travel up to ten blocks or so before getting hungry/bored and turning around so we opted for a nearby park instead....

Huh....

We actually ended up walking a bit further than we planned. Up to the site where I do most of my outside dance covers.

Ari!!!

There were sooo many leaves and sticks blown off of the trees
DUCK!! D Ducks are apparently impervious to hurricanes since they were the only animals I saw today...Actually this was the only one I saw today. There weren't even any pigeons =/

I wasn't able to do any more covers this week because the weather made my house dark and I've been busy getting ready for school...I still have no bed but maybe I will find one tomorrow. After that I'll be moved into an apartment with no internet and so my interactions with Twitter, FB YT and such will be strictly limited from now on. It might be for the best because I have trouble focusing anyways. This may be my last post for a while unless I can find a quiet free WIFI spot to blog on/ download and upload videos onto. Maybe somewhere at school....which starts Friday...

This dilemma is to be figured out at a later date

Ciao♥

二十歳♥ It's my Birthday!!

Well it was...yesterday!! I'm twenty you guys!!!

All in all it wasn't bad becuase I got to do what I wanted :3

Though I spent more of the day lounging, at around 4'oclock I started to get really hungry (considering I hadn't eaten all say I guess that makes sense) So I got dressed and was about to leave when....

My best friend and her sister came over :D

We hit the bakery first, I bought a Williams Poire again and a passion fruit mousse pastry. We dropped those off at home and then headed to the AWESOME Hawaiin/ Japanese BBQ place I was talking about. This time I had a bento. It was HUGE

I bought the shrimp tempura bento box and substituted the white rice for fried rice and the California roll for salmon maki. ( °٢° ) I shared of course. It was some of the best salmon maki and shrimp shumai I've ever had..

When we got home, this was waiting for me

It's my Kylee CD!!!! ;A;

Her latest single, "Never Give Up!"

It comes with both the single and a DVD of the video as well as part of the video making.

I actually don't like the regulat PV. I prefer this one

It's just nice :)

Also my sister bought this really cute sweater for me!

MUSTANG O_O

I kind of didn't take pictures of the cake becuase I ate it...

Well I enjoyed my birthday, even if I couldn't spend most of it with my twin who had work and then classes....

BTW!

I also started to move into muh new apartment on Thursday!

No pictures until its done!

We spent most of the day looking for a cheap dresser and drawer.

We found a good dresser but we're still looking into a bed.

 I don't want to sleep on the floor ;AAA;

They have these really weird..."decorations" in IKEA

Scary (((( ;゚Д゚)))

I also tried the fast foos line called Chick-Fill-A for the first time

It was delicious!!

Those are sweet potato waffle fries btw!! SWEET POTATO WAFFLE FRIES!

Grilled chicken sandwich with provolone and American cheese AND bacon!!
I like food WAY too much ( °٢° )

And today's miracle..I turned twenty!! I am officially two decades old ^____^

I don't feel it though...( ´_ゝ`)

I feel the same, becuase I am the same, I just have more responsibilities now. So as you get older I guess you can expect yourself to change, but not much. Really the only thing that changes about you is how you deal with what life throws at you. I'm twenty now so maybe I won't cry every time I run into something that frustrates me. (or maybe I will becuase I'm told I cry about everything...DO NOT ;AAA; )
But after I finish crying I'll be able to do what I need to do to get through whatever the problem is and that'll be that. :3

And now I'm off to watch the weather! There is a hurricane coming this way after all.

Hawaiin BBQ

Today's coordinate

I like layers...and colors :D

The material is very light so even though I wore layers today I wasn't hot at all^^ It was a bit windy though

I went to this restaurant that specializes in Japanese cuisine and Hawaiian Barbeque! My best friend recommended it to me so I went. I couldn't go with her today though.

Barbequed checken, rice, macaroni salad and...salad^^
It was pretty good! The chicken was a little salty but very well seasoned and tender! I had plenty of iced tea to wash it down.
I also had some coconut shrimp!

Omnomnom so good!!

I ate EVERYTHING! I'm sure the store owners thought I wasn't fed at home with the amount I ate=/

Well I'm not...

Oh well^^

I start to move in to my new apartment tomorrow. I haven't finished packing but I don't know what I want to bring and what I want to leave behind....

Though I guess three suitcases is enough for now :)

Good night!

Packing ♥ False Alarm

There was an earthquake today O.O

A 5.8 earthquake that originated right off of Washington D.C.

5.8 is considered intermediate. It can shake groceries off of shelves but it really won't do much damage other than that.

Here in Manahattan it wasn't that bad. The house kind of rocked. But if you weren't paying attention you might not have felt it =/ My sister who was in Brooklyn at the time though said the building she was in swayed like a boat. That's pretty scary to think about.

NOTHING ever happens in NY so when natural occurrences do appear, it becomes a big deal even when it's not.

I started packing today.

Didn't get much done =/ Mom was mad....whatev. I have till Firday u_______u

Those are the September edition of KERA and Zipper, that I picked up from Kinokuniya:D Kyary models in them^^

Also!
I uploaded this today :D

Love Dokkyun♥

I thought it came out pretty good. The quick change was a b*&^!

HMMMMMMMMMMMMM......

What's Keiko up to?
Not much......

Ciao♥

Kiss me♥ Fashion♥日本語をれんしゅ~

 これから日本語はちょっとを連取します^^
(At this point, I'm going to practice Japanese for a bit)

どうも^^
(Hi^^)

久しぶりに動画をうpしましたよねえ?
(It's been a while since I've last uploaded a video huh?

じゃん!
(Tada!)

Okay I'm done with that.......too sleepy to think.

My first dance cover after over a month! Kiss me Aishiteru by C-ute. I'm dancing Airi's part. I don't know HOW she makes this dance look so easy! (She's such a pro) Actually they ALL of the members make this dance look like a piece of cake...NOT!! It's very stylized and there's only ONE way to do each move. Not much room for variation and if you make a mistake it's quite obvious...Good thing I did it by myself
*Insert crafty Japanese emoticon here*..Oh wait...

(╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ *Flips over table*

This dance is very difficult....("Nah!!! Looks EASY!!!"...you say that now-___-)
I haven't ordered my furniature yet...I might be sleeping on the floor the first night in my new apartment ;A;....

Listening to my tunes, drinking homemade iced tea :)
Today was a very relxed day. One of my friends slept over becuase they stayed late and I ended up spending the day relaxing at home with her^^

I haven't been able to relax at home in FOREVER and I thank her for the opportunity to do so. We spent the day, eating, chatting  and doing dance covers :D (well I did two dance covers while she watched)

It was also nice because I don't get to hang out with her often and I learned a lot of things that I didn't know about her even though we've been friends for a while now. It was to say the least refreshing. She;s quiet company and I was able to ramble about whatever I wanted all day :D

Recently I'm into Harajuku fashion.  In an interview with KyaryPamyuPamyu on Kawaii Girl Japan's YT channel Kyary said that whenever you shop, look for things that are strange and interesting. Since then, whenever  shop I use this mentality. Hence my hat from my last post.

If you look at my hair in this post you'll see that it's tied up. I've also been experimenting with hair styles. Maybe when I find one I really like, I'll post it here :3

Speaking of fashion, check out these two!
They're twins and I LOVE their coordinates^^ I saw them on my friend's birthday while we were ordering food and had to take a picture!

One day I'll develop my own style^^ An Uraban-Mori Hybrid?

One day....

SOHO♥Birthday Cheesecake

So my mom took Ari and me down to SOHO yesterday :)

STORY MODE:  (笑)

We went into the oddest store I've ever seen. It looked like an attic. It was a clothing store but there were clothes artistically strewn about the place. If I could describe it, I would describe it as a room full of possible coordinates. A dress and scarf thrown over an old chair, three shirts in similar shades pinned to a wall, a piece of fabric hung on a clothing line. The light was dim but the clothes couldn't be anymore colorful, outrageous, strange and creative so the that room was very busy. They were all clothes that could stand on their own as a conversational piece, but could only be improved with other layers as well. Every piece was original; one of a kind and well made.

From one particularly large lumps of fabric an old woman in layers or textured, ruffling  flowing fabrics appeared. Her already paled face was powdered white and she had marked her face in line or blue and red paint across her eyebrows and cheek bones. She looked odd to say the least. I was a bit hesitant to walk further in the store. Not that I had wanted to in the first place...

She said "hello" to us in the soft, strange elderly voice I had expected and showed us around her small crowded store. If you ever talked to this woman and walked around her store, you'd find yourself moving just as slowly and talking just as quietly as she does.

Oddly everything we tried on in the store fit perfectly. Now my mother is no size six and all of these clothes come in one size as they are all one of a kind. But if you held up a piece of clothing, like it and tried it on, you'd fnd that it would fit you perfectly. I found myself a fun hat^^

SOHOでかわいいぼしを買った!

It's hand made with different fabrics and stitches and I think the ball on the front is real fur ;A; But it's SO cute and Mori I had to get it!
I was also kind of expensive for a hat (45 dollars x____x) so my mom bought it for me as a birthday present! ^___^

I still haven't decided what I want to do for my birthday this Friday...but I was pleasantly surprised today :D

お誕生日の前にのチーズケーキです。

WITH AN EPIC HOMEMADE STRAWBERRY CHEESE CAKE♥ OMNOMNOM

We can't celebrate on Ari and my birthday becuase Ari has work so they brought it to us today ;A;

ಥ⌣ಥ
Thank you guys!!!!!

I'll be moved into my new apartment for school six days from now and I can't wait to go back to school and start choreographing again :D

いじょうでした!!!

Downtown

Today my term as a temporary employee ended ;A;

I complained about my job  a lot on twitter but at the end of the day it's what's paying for furniture for my new apartment.

But because I had no work today, I was able to hang out with my friend on her birthday :D
She turned 19 today^^

Today one of the girls that I shared a hotel room with at Otakon was in town so we decided we'd hang around Times Square today.

Times Square can be very exciting becuase of the lights, ads and attractions but it can also be very confusing because of the amount of people during the day. The streets can also get terribly crowded sometimes so be a fast walker, wear comfortable shoes and stay together. Also, most clothing stores won't have a bathroom but the restaurants and fast food places are usually nice about letting you use the restroom....

MOVING ON!

First we went to the HUGE Toys R' Us store. I didn't take any pictures....but we played DDR! I played in HEELS and the bottom on one heel came off ;A; It was alright though becuase the way that its made I was able to stick it back on like a Lego piece. It's actually a sturdy shoe=/

Next we went to the M&Ms Store

That's my friend picking out some crazy colored M&Ms. I bought them for her since I hadn't gotten anything for her birthday...

The Hershey Store was right across the street so we went there next^^ It smells so sweet in both stores I could feel a cavity coming on.

It's surprisingly small (笑)

We then stopped by Book-Off for about an hour spending most of our time in the used manga section. I didn't buy anything.

It was around two-thirty by then so we stopped to have lunch. I ate at a food truck for the first time and it was AMAZINGLY good!! If you ever stop by NYC I recommend it^^ (Get a rice plate) I had yellow rice with broccoli, lamb, chicken, broccoli, lettuce, tomato and some sort of white sauce.
After that we spent about two hours in this HUGE Forever21 store. It has four floors and each section is a different style. This one was my favorite♥

Everything was so fluffy♥

I didn't by anything from this section, but I ended up buying a pair of Mori-style shoes and a cute sweater. I really shouldn't be spending money though....

There's a photo booth in this Forever21 :) Me and my friends tried it once.

It was so much fun :D These are the friends I've had since high school. Actually I knew the girl on the right since Junior-High before I knew the wonders of Japanese pop culture. I consider her my best friend :) I met the one the left (BIRTHDAY GIRL) in high school.

This store also had impressive displays

(笑)

After our visiting friend from Maryland left with her family for dinner, my two friends and I headed to Kinokuniya for a bit (I was on the search for anything Kyary Pamyu Pamyu related)

I bought a Kera and Zipper magazine (I was disappointed that they didn't have Kyary's highly anticipated album but the two magazines I bought feature her as a model in it^^

At this time I was EXHAUSTED. I'd been up since 6:30AM becuase I was supposed to go to work only to find out that my assignment had already finished so I was there for no reason at all (-___-) and was walking around in heels from about 11 to 7 at night.

All in all it was one of the best days I've had this summer :D

And since I no longer have a job I'll have some free time to do my last few dance covers/ get ready for school until my...*gulp* INDEFINITE HIATUS O___O

I'll still use my blog of course but I may not post any new covers until winter vacation maybe? (I hope><!! We'll see) I'll know for sure as the semester progresses I guess.

Next blog will feature ALL GETS I've obtained this summer^^

MY BIRTHDAY IS NEXT FRIDAY!!! WHAT DO?

Cakes ♥ Kitty Scratch

I have a habit of spending all of my money on food :p

This week I spent ten dollars on cake alone o.o But it was worth it :D

Ufufufu♥

Ahahaha♥

There's a bakery up the street from my house that sell French bread and pastries. And they're all SO GOOD!!
The one on the left is called a Poire WiIlliams

It's a pastry made from freshly crushed pears and it as a sweet frosting on top. DELICIOUS. It's my favorite one thus far^^

The one on the right is a Strawberry Shortcake and one of the best I've ever had.

My poor baby had a bad run in with a mouse the other day.

When we woke up he was fine. After I took my shower and came back downstairs he was curled up on my sister's mattress (we sleep in the living room in the summer becuase our room has no air conditioning) He had a scratch next to his nose and one near his right eye. It was dangerously close too. I wiped both cuts with peroxide and he didn't squirm so I suppose it wasn't that bad. But he's been searching for that mouse ever since. You might not be able to tell from the picture but he's sitting on our kitchen table right now. He does this so that he can have a good view of the kitchen and the mouse can't see him coming (That's the only way I's let him sit on the table in the first place)

Poor Keiko ;A;

Hehe I've written two blog posts today because I've actually been writing both of them for a few days now and just finished both today so why not? One is an Otakon post and the other an update about cakes and kitties^^

Ciao♥

Celebrities at Otakon!!

As it turns out I am terrible at reporting things in the order that they occurred. I'm only good at talking about things that excited me as I remember them :s

Oh well!! My blog, my way I suppose!

There were several celebrities that attended Otakon this year!

There was CHEMISTRY, Japanese R&B duo:

I had never heard of them before I registered for Otakon.
They performed Friday evening and the concert hall was PACKED. I got there late because I was coming from a panel and I almost couldn't get a seat :s They're very good performers and know how to get a crowd excited!! It's not my type of music but I really enjoyed the concert :D

There's also Nobuo Uematsu  *bows*
He is best known for his musical compositions for Final Fantasy! Apparently he made a special appearance but I missed him....drat=/

Then there is the amazing Makoto Shinkai

He's known for producing, animating, directing and voice acting his own movies!! And from what my friends were saying they're all pretty good. One of my friends that came with us waited TWO HOURS in line to get his autograph and when she finally met him, she cried. It was so cute><!!  I say cute becuase I've never seen her cry before; even to this day! (I wasn't there when she cried in front of him)

Then there was....KYLEE

She's half-japanese, born and raised in Arizona and a J-rock singer in Japan. She's an honor roll student and she's only 17!!
I was particularly excited to see her. I first heard her music through the anime Xam'd and was impressed by how strong her vocals were even she was only about 15 (?)  at the time. Her singles are usually very hopeful, bright and positive and I like her colorful style. I went to her Q&A panel and she's also very  mature for her age^^

Though the first time I came face to face with Kylee at Otakon it was at one of her autograph sessions. There weren't many people so we got to the front pretty quickly. I didn't have anything for her to sign so I bought a T-shirt. (It was a t-shirt that promoted her single It's You/Missing. ) But as soon as I got to the front of the line all I could do was say "Hi" at that moment my favorite song by her It's You starting playing. I shouted stupidly "Omigosh this is my favorite song!" rattling the T-shirt I had just bought in my hands. Kylee smiled at me at which point I started bawling ;A; She asked me what my name was so that she could sign my T-shirt but I was unresponsive at the moment so Ari had to answer for me. It was too surreal. She's so pretty in person!!!

*sigh* Sadly I could get a good picture of her during the autograph session. Actually Ari took this picture. I was one line, only a few steps away from meeting KYLEE :D

This was Saturday I believe. I saw her concert Sunday as well. It was so AWESOME!!!
We were allowed to take photos without flash...as if I would take the time to take photos while I was enjoying KYLEE's concert pfft!!!

Well I tried to take one.

She was absolutely radiant on stage. Though the concert hall didn't fill out like it did for Chemistry's concert by the end there was definitely a substantial increase in her fan base at Otakon :)

At the beginning of the concert there weren't many people at Kylee's merchandise table so I figured I'd just buy her new CD after the concert. BOY WAS I WRONG

The line wrapped around the hall!!

Good thing I had gotten my shirt signed the day before^____^

The front of my pick, black and white It's You/Missing t-shirt (my favorite single!)

Ufufufu She signed my name.....but I covered itXD!!

The also stuck this in your bag
It's a dual advertisement for both Kylees newest single Never Give Up (which I ordered) and the sports line adidas which Kylee also models for.

She signs "with ♥ Kylee"^^

And if that wasn't enough for a fan I ran into Kylee AGAIN. In the hotel lobby of course^^

I was in the middle of showing my friends the pictures I took of the  lolita fashion designers when her the staff just waltzed in the lobby doors. I don't really remember if the people greeting her were fans or more staff but I ran over and thanked her for coming to Otakon anyways. I remember her giving my a hug but I don't remember how ;A;

Then someone mentioned a picture and in a rash decision I followed the large group outside. Some how I ended up in a picture with Kylee O.o Now that I think about it it looked like a staff picture so maybe I shouldn't have been in it....But I gave my camera to them and they took it the picture with ME in it after I asked so maybe it was alright...I don't know..they can crop me out of it^^

I'm the only one with my Otakon badge on O.o Oh well....
What's done is done I suppose^^ And I do count this as today's miracle! A picture with Kylee :) Whether I was supposed to be in it or not!

*sigh* There are a few more things I want to report on but this is it for now^^

Cherries ♥ Lolita

I had Organic Rainier Cherries for breakfast :D

So good!!! I ate a whole bag! I don't even like cherries that much, but these are TASTY man!

Right I did  say I would be talking more about Otakon didn't I?

Well our group stayed in the Hyatt Hotel, which is literally right across the street from the convention center making it the most convenient place to stay. (and the most expensive) Many of the special guests stayed there as well...and I ran into a few of them. The first ones being  BABY fashion designer Masumi Kano and ALICE and the PIRATES fashion designer Mitsuba
.
They're so perfect ;A;

I was just herp-derping around the lobby with Ari (who was knocked out on a couch at the time) ,waiting for my friends to show up so that we could start making our way home Sunday afternoon and I turned around to see two Japanese girls dressed perfectly in lolita. And they were so poised!!  I hadn't taken many pictures at the con so I figured. I MUST TAKE THIS PICTURE!!!

I herp-derped over and asked them if I could take a picture in Japanese. They simply exchanged glances and struck perfect poses. I took my picture and herp-derped away.
Finally a girl from our group of friends approached me to tell me that it was time to go, I guess but she asked, "Aren't those the fashion designers?"

I can't believe I just waltzed up to them without realizing who they were. They were just SO PERFECT I couldn't resist!!
If that isn't a miracle I don't know what is/ How often do you get to run into two notable figures in lolita/harajuku fashion...in America...BY MISTAKE!!

I'm a herp-derp for life you guys.

ねむい。。。。
Ciao♥

Toto

Hi Hi♥ Like my new layout? I worked pretty hard on it! I especially like the clock and calendar widgets on the side!!

I know I said that I would start reporting on Otakon but well....I haven't had time to sit and type without being interrupted even once!! And now it's one in the morning and I have to sleep. So I'll share a piece of my experience with you now :D Today's miracle :

 It's a tornado!!! In DC!!!

Yes, DC...The con was in Baltimore, but we had some time to kill Sunday afternoon before the bus ride home and decided to do a bit of site seeing. Our DC friends (our meaning me, Ari and my two high school friends) took us to the Capital. We were about to take a picture in front of the Washington Monument and it just appeared out of NO WHERE!!

It tore down a dirt road for about twenty; thirty feet and then just vanished!! I only caught the end of it. It wasn't as big as the one that blew Dorothy, Toto and their house into Land of Oz (thank god) but it looked big enough that you could stand in its epicenter with room. It was pretty big....

Also, we saw ducks!!!

(I'm a city girl okay? I don't see ducks that often....except in Central Park.)

And they were fishing^^ It was pretty funny to see their tails wag in the air as they ducked down under the lake's surface for food.

(Haha, my friend said I should call this picture Sasuke because his hair looks like a duck buttXD!!!....yeah....)

We fed them spicy peanuts..which was weird they REALLY liked them but kept drinking massive amounts of water after each bite. But they don't like lettuce...I had a burger from McDonalds and they ate the bread but no the lettuce =/

I hope that's not considered animal cruelty 0___0

Meh....I'm sure they're fine^____^

Overall I had a lot of fun even outside of the con. And I'm glad I went! Soooo want to go next year!!

Okay pictures of the ACTUAL con next time I promise!!! I've got some celebrity pictures to show :D
But right now my camera is dead ;A;

Good night♥
