A few updates for the Ari。Ki archive ♪

We've uploaded two new dance covers recently!!!

"A Lie and a Stuffed Animal" choreographed by Zensoku.




When Zensoku sent us the "Zensoku Size" shirts and fitted caps he also asked us to use them in a video. Why wouldn't we???

So here it is! And it's not an Ari。Ki video unless we completely botch up the choreography so we made some changes to it. See if you can figure out where they are!

Next up, 39(SanKyuu)!

We covered this dance exactly once, at Tekkoshocon earlier this year and have been meaning to cover it ever since!

We may have one or two more dance covers to put out before we release some original choreography so stay tuned!!!

Speaking of tunes, Ari and I are choreographing for NYC based, idol group, 2une's debut!

Ari and I worked briefly with Sneko before but last week I was able to meet Uno as well for rehearsal.

They're having their debut concert at Liberty Anime Con this Friday, August 28th so if you're in the area please check it out!

I always need music to stay focused whenever I'm working on something, whether if it's blogging, cleaning or filling out some kind of paperwork. It feels like recently I've needed more intense music to stay focused, so that explains the composition of this weeks playlist.

Recently I'm really into PC music so I'm sorry if it's a little strange. Also, I'm always looking for new music so feel free to recommend me your recent favorites as well!



Besides that, Waku Waku NYC is in a week and I still haven't bought my ticket. I'm feeling some apprehension about going because I still can't find a reason to go to besides meeting up with friends and filling up the Hello Kitty Capsule at Sebastian Masuda's event on the 30th...

I don't know...

Besides that, Ari。Ki's birthday is also week? On the 26th, to be exact!

I've been earning my own money through various jobs consistently for almost a year now! I've been able to contribute to the household for an entire year and take care of myself without asking for money from anyone in my family even once, and I kind of want to celebrate it somehow.

So I've been browsing for something nice to treat myself to!

Syndrome store currently has really cute Sailor Moon themed handbags, purses(wallets), and phone carriers on their website!

They also have this adorable seifuku themed purse that I wouldn't mind splurging on since I change up my bags pretty often and would get good use out of it. 

I'm also thinking of expanding my pin collection with some of Punimelt's accessories and their IT'S OKAY pin is at the top of my list.

The SELFIE and BATHTIME heart buttons wouldn't be bad either. 

I've also been in need of new shoes so!!!!! 

Reebok's Classic Freestlye Hi are my absolute favorite sneakers. I bought a pair last year and wore them almost everyday and pretty often in dance covers. Those pair are long gone, but ever since I saw Pan2 and Marice where the pinks ones (second pair from the top)  in Marine Dreamin' I've been itching to buy a new pair. I couldn't find any but the white ones in my style online last year (my feet are huge, I'm a US 10.5) but this year there are all sorts of fun colors!!!

I could go on forever, but those are just a few of the things I've been looking at!

Track Scratch

Hi there!!

I'm currently in the middle of writing a paper for class this afternoon and I don't think I'll be making it to my morning classes haha.

The same twelve page paper that I mentioned in my last post.

This one will be short.

March 30th the third piece I've ever choreographed was performed!!

I'm a bit of a perfectionist so when I saw it on stage I was honestly a little disappointed with how it had turned out. But somehow I've recieved so much praise about it ><!!




It's called Track Scratch and I choreographed it to Pogo's Whisperlude. (hence the title)

There are many ideas that went into this piece. If you're interested I talk a little about how I came up with the idea in the description box on the video.

Teachers and students came up to me the following week telling me how much they enjoyed my piece. There were even people who hadn't seen it that approached me telling me all the good things they'd heard about it.

I still can't believe all of the attention I've been getting because of this piece.

It kind of makes me nervous ><

I'm honestly not used to being payed much attention to. So every time someone came up to me, I was happy with knots in my stomach.

One day my teacher brought up my piece in class and how interesting it was and that somehow opened up the discussion to other things people said they liked out me, from the way I choreograph to how I dance.

I was COMPLETELY overwhelmed >///< I had no idea!!

I didn't know what to say ;;

But none the less, I was happy that I wasn't completely invisible, haha.

Even though I love dancing, I don't have that much confidence in it.

I just do what I like  (*´ω｀*)

A classmate took them. I didn't even know he was going to take pictures but they came out amazing!

With all that's happened I can't wait until fall to start choreographing again!!

Yes Well...haha

It has been a while since my last post!

So here's what's been going on! (`･ω･´)

During Thanksgiving break Ari and I recorded a new video!

Yay!!! We might also upload the 'making of' this video sometime this month!

ALSO

Last weekend my student comp piece went up!!

So far every semester since Sophomore year I've participated in Student Composition class for dance majors.

This the second piece I've ever choreographed.

I'll upload it to my channel sometime next week but I'll tell you ahead of time....

I'm so proud of my cast!!!

The crowd responded really well to it !!! So happy!! ヽ(´▽`)/

Today is the last day of classes.

This week is tech for the upcoming dance shows this Thursday and Friday.

I'll be performing for the first time in a year!! I'm not nervous...yet ;A;

But this week I'll have a LOT of free time.

What to do?! (ﾟДﾟ;≡;ﾟДﾟ)

I'll probably spend a lot of tim!e by myself.... ('A`)

But seriously...I just found a recipe for Oreo stuffed chocolate chip cookies and I'm trying those out tomorrow!!

My first dance cover after over a month! Kiss me Aishiteru by C-ute. I'm dancing Airi's part. I don't know HOW she makes this dance look so easy! (She's such a pro) Actually they ALL of the members make this dance look like a piece of cake...NOT!! It's very stylized and there's only ONE way to do each move. Not much room for variation and if you make a mistake it's quite obvious...Good thing I did it by myself
*Insert crafty Japanese emoticon here*..Oh wait...

(╯°□°）╯︵ ┻━┻ *Flips over table*

This dance is very difficult....("Nah!!! Looks EASY!!!"...you say that now-___-)
I haven't ordered my furniature yet...I might be sleeping on the floor the first night in my new apartment ;A;....

Today was a very relxed day. One of my friends slept over becuase they stayed late and I ended up spending the day relaxing at home with her^^

I haven't been able to relax at home in FOREVER and I thank her for the opportunity to do so. We spent the day, eating, chatting  and doing dance covers :D (well I did two dance covers while she watched)

It was also nice because I don't get to hang out with her often and I learned a lot of things that I didn't know about her even though we've been friends for a while now. It was to say the least refreshing. She;s quiet company and I was able to ramble about whatever I wanted all day :D

Recently I'm into Harajuku fashion.  In an interview with KyaryPamyuPamyu on Kawaii Girl Japan's YT channel Kyary said that whenever you shop, look for things that are strange and interesting. Since then, whenever  shop I use this mentality. Hence my hat from my last post. 

If you look at my hair in this post you'll see that it's tied up. I've also been experimenting with hair styles. Maybe when I find one I really like, I'll post it here :3
