Yesterday's lives were so much fun!　

We did one session in the morning, and one at night.

The morning one was on nico.jp and we did the "funny face  battle"

It was fun but it was also kind of a fail.

I'm still not very good at reading kanji.

Haha, but Ari fell asleep as soon as it was over!

In the eveing we did a live on nico.com which went a little better.

We pretty much did a live of us practicing this!!




Cuteness overload!

We'll be aiming to finish THIS ↑ by tomorrow.

We really appreciated everyone who watched out lives yesterday so thank you for that!

We'll probably do another one tomorrow.

On Sunday my best friends came over and Ari and I taught them the beginning to Happy Synthesizer and Tell You World which was loads of fun!

Somehow they were both wearing the same Panda mismatch sock.

I've also bought a calendar recently. It's the first time I've bought a calendar in years!!

It's a Hello Kitty calendar!!

I just added it to my cluttered wall of magazine clippings and posters.

I think I need more things on my wall.

Today I was planning on doing a cover but I think I'm visiting my aunt in a bit so probably not =/

Tomorrow I guess><!!

Usually I try to write posts in both English and Japanese but I just....

don't feel like it.

And I have to go.

No more snacks..

I can't eat them(´ω｀。)

Or at least for now.

Lent started last Wednesday.

And I gave up all unnatural snacks. Including these jumbo pack of ginger thins I just discovered last week

Cries....

I'm going to have to eat fruits, veggies and nuts for snack from now on.

But I can still have bread and cheese which means grilled cheese is still on!! 

It's a beautiful day!!!!

And in this glorious weather a couple of guys were handing out books in front of campus!

It's called Too Far and so far it reminds me of a Bridge to Terabithia; two children escape from their own reality to play in the woods and create a world using their imagination.

That movie made me cry ;w;

I really hope this book has a happy ending.

It's pretty short, almost 250 pages. I'll probably finish it by tomorrow.

And it came with a CD. I listened to the first track and it wasn't that great....

Anyways!

Today is a good day because...

the socks that Japanese students gave me fit!! 

I swore I'd have to throw them away or give them to somebody! But they're perfect!

It's kind of hard to explain why this excites me

1. I love Hello Kitty

2. They're from the Sanrio store in Japan

3. The kind of socks that I'm wearing is more important to me that the kind of shoes I'm wearing

I love socks. I wear socks more often than I wear shoes because I dance in them and for some reason I get compliments on my socks all the time..

I know this post was kind of random, but I have so may different things in my head right now.

My choreography, school work, I haven't eaten today yet, my class that's at four, what I'm going to do when  finally get home this weekend..etc.

Ahh!!!!

The sooner this week is over the better!!

I need lunch.

お土産！ Japanese souvenirs!

It's been a while since my last update...

久しぶりですね。。

It's starting to get busy around here between rehearsal and school work and actually having a social life ><!!

But something GREAT happened last week!

About thirty dance major students from Japan took classes at my school for about a week!

私の大学に３０人の日本の大学生が来ました！！((o(^∇^)o))

Cool!!

The last time Japanese students visited our school it was part of an interdisciplinary (many-major) project affiliated with the school. They stayed for fourteen days and we became friends!

We were split into groups of 5 or so. Our group used video projection and an installation made of rope. I got to dance though ALL of that. Moving in a yukata is not easy ....But it is fun!!

Actually I just got a letter from one of them today!

今日は日本人の友達の手紙をもらいました！

Tsu-chan! She even included pictures from the time they were here!

Her English is less than perfect but it's a really cute letter!!! She's a painting major ^___^

But this time it was a complete surprise! Only the teachers knew they were coming and didn't even bother to tell us =/ 

I didn't mind^^

Not many people talked to them (language gap and all) so I tried to talk to as many of them as possible.

Which was fun...and embarrassing.

And they brought stuff!!!

They gave out little souvenirs to people they met. Here's just some of the stuff I got.

Yesterday was the Japanese' students' last day here so they celebrated at the Hard Rock Cafe!

最後の日には日本学生と一緒にHard Rock Cafeでパーティをしました＾＾

And they invited me!! They said I could invite friends so I brought my friend Tom with me.

It was my first time eating there!

It was so much fun!! We ate three plates of appetizers and shared two sundaes. And I guess they didn't find it weird to eat off of us because I sure didn't care!

That sundae was great(´▽｀)

But I wish I had known that they were covering the whole tab otherwise I wouldn't have ordered that seven dollar frozen fruity drink thing....

We bonded over Kyary Pamyu Pamyu and danced Tsukema Tsukeru at the dinner table.

That was great!

I'm so glad to have met them! 

みんなに会えてよかったです！

Great things have been happening to me lately and I'm just feeling grateful for every one of them^^

But I had to stay home an extra day so I didn't go to class at all yesterday....

I felt guilty at first but my roommate told me that everyone needs a break sometimes.

It was surprisingly kind coming from her.

でも、昨日また学校を休んでしまいました。。。


でもね、ハウスメイトがいいこと言った

「病気だったら休んでいいですよ」

びっくりした！！あの優しい言葉が。。


It's sooo hard to stay in bed all day with nothing good to eat...and boring

It's weird, I  have "girl-ish" things like nail polish and  some cute shoes and tights and make-up but I never wear any of it...I usually just wear sweats or the same pair of jeans or cardigan (washed mind you)

And just Thursday (when I went out and wasn't supposed) I ran into my (very cute) mentee (who's 25) who I haven't seen in a while

I was still sick and I didn't really do much with my appearance and I looked so homely. It was pretty bad.

I really should put more effort into what I look like.

キティちゃんの厚手靴下セットを買った｡◕‿◕｡)ﾉ

I bought them from H&M but I didn't realize that they were from the kids section until I got home...

They fit though! (well enough) 

And I got a 5 dollar gift card with my purchase y(￣ー￣)y

Which will probably just get me another pair of socks...

I'm rambling he he...

The weather isn't as great today as it was yesterday but I'm still going outside!!
